Here is a modification in the interface which allows you to move the navigation panel of explorer to right

Tested on Vista, probably works with windows 7

How to do:

For all,
a) go to your shell32.dll file, C:\Windows\System32\shell32.dll
b) Make a backup of this file

:bulletgreen:For all vista users with SP2 AND x32:
1) Take the control of this file
2) rename it like you want (example, shell32.dllback)
3) replace it with mine (please note this file moves also the shell of explorer to top)

:bulletgreen: For others vista users (with SP1, and/or, x64) and for windows 7 users, the method will be longer
1) with restorator, open your shell32.dll file, after extray somewhere all the following files (from UIFILE folder):
numbers 3, 4, 5, 6 and numbers 12, 18, 19, 20, 21, 27, 28, 31, 46 (maybe some are useless...)
2) open step by step each file (in .txt format automatically), and change "Left" text when you see it overwriting "Right", for all these files, like shown in this screenshot: [link]

Content:
- The shell32.dll file modified (only for SP2 and x32 users)
- Take control tool
- Read Me file

OKay i have manged to swap the resizers for the info and navigation panes. However, there is still the problem of dragging to re-size the panes.

Problem 1: You have drag in to make the panes larger, vs dragging them out. (reversed)

Problem 2: This one one buggs me the most. When I drag to make the panes larger, it either goes to maximum size or minimal size. Sort of a snapping effect.



PLZ HELP, I would really like to use this layout. :(

The look is great. I had to do it the manual way (windows 7 32). But having problems with resizer of the panes. You need to switch it form right to left (Top/Bottom). Also the way the resizer "sizes" panes is reversed. I am slowly resolving this issue by editing certain values in the shell32.dll

If anyone is facing same issue let me know.

Will update on the progress.

quick question, how did you change your icons in the navigation panel? do you know a easy way in win 7?
